Stanton Elementary is proud to announce our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Kate Brandon. She is one of our 3rd grade reading teachers, and was nominated for this award by her peers for her dedication and love for her students. She is a leader and great mentor for other teachers as well. Stanton Elementary is blessed with amazing teachers that want our children to always be at their best.
March 27 & 28 SES will be offering the Be Safe Program presented by the MRCCAC. This is an accredited prevention program that teaches about safe touches in an age appropriate manner. We ask that all students return the attached note indicating whether parents do or do not want their student to attend. Within the letter you will find the schedule & a link to preview the videos. A physical copy of the letter will be sent home today with all students.

We have several opportunities to show kindness over the next week. We will partner with SHS National Honor Society to participate in their annual penny wars; on Friday, we will sell tattoos and ribbons to kick off our American Heart Association fundraiser; we are also working with our local food bank for hold a boxed meal drive. We would love to see your family involved in any or all of these random acts of kindness!
We can’t wait to see you all at school today. We will open doors at 9:45 for a 10:00 a.m. start. No breakfast will be served, but lunch will be at regular times. Buses will run on an approximate 2 hour delay. See you all soon!
Stanton ISD will have a 10am start with buses running on a 2 hour delay for Thursday Feb 2nd. We will reevaluate if necessary in the morning.
Good news, Scholastic Book Fair will be extended through next week. Even if the weather warms tomorrow, we do not want our families out after dark, therefore we have opted to move Open House and Family Night at the Book Fair to Thursday, February 9 5:30-7:00. Feel free to set up those wallets and be ready to support and encourage your child to read at home by purchasing books next week!
Due to the continued concern for our staff and students, Stanton ISD will remain CLOSED Wednesday with an anticipated return to class Thursday at 10:00 am. Any updates will be posted as needed.
All Stanton ISD campuses will be closed on Wednesday, February 1st. School will resume at 10:00am on Thursday, February 2nd.
Pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade classes will be moving their 100th day of school celebration to Monday, February 6th. Students will need to bring snacks or items according to their class note and may dress up accordingly on Monday. If you have any questions, please feel free to email your child’s teacher.
