All SHS students need to pick up an orange schedule first thing tomorrow morning in the commons starting at 7:30AM. You must have this schedule to go to your first class. Seniors that don't have a first period come by the office before second period.

SHS Band August Rehearsal schedule:
Monday August 1-Leadership Team only from 9 am-3 pm
August 2,3,4: Full Band Rehearsal from 3-5 pm and 6-9 pm.
August 5-no rehearsals
August 8-11 schedule: marching band rehearsal from 6 pm -9 pm. Sectional schedules TBD.
August 9-Mandatory HS Band parent meeting at 7 pm in the SHS band hall.
August 15-Marching band rehearsal from 6pm-9 pm
Football practice starts on Monday, August 1st at 9 AM. Any player that hasn't got equipment yet needs to be here by 8 AM to get practice equipment. All other players need to be dressed for practice by 8:30 AM so we can have a quick team meeting before getting started.

Graduation Venue and Time Change.
Due to a facility concern, the district has decided to change the site of graduation from the Auditorium to Buffalo Stadium. With this change in venue, a time change has also been implemented. We will begin graduation at 8:00 pm instead of 7:00 pm. Please get the word out concerning these changes.
There will be no seating limitations and tickets are not required to attend.
Isaiah Ramos, a Junior at Stanton High School, competed at State UIL Academic Competition for Social Studies. This year's topic was the 1960 Rome Olympics. He finished number 13 out of all 3A schools across the state! Isaiah competed last year when the topic was Teddy Roosevelt and the Spanish -American War. He competed virtually his freshman year due to COVID when the topic was Korea. He is excited to compete his senior year with the Roaring Twenties as the topic.
