This week is Fentanyl Awareness Week!! What is Fentanyl? Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is 50-100 times stronger than morphine. Just 2 milligrams of fentanyl, equal to 10 to 15 grains of table salt, is considered a lethal dose. Illegally manufactured fentanyl is found in heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and in counterfeit pills. As a result, many people may not know they're ingesting fentanyl, leading to an accidental poisoning. 6th & 7th Grade Parents- letters are coming home today for the Being Safe program that will be presented to 6th graders on Oct. 28 & 7th graders on Oct. 29 in Social Studies rotations. HB1041 mandates Texas Public Schools offer a course on child safety. Please review the letter, preview videos at the link below, and return the note with your preference. - Bus Parents - A Friendly Reminder - Starting Monday August 26th students will be required to have a bus tag to ride in the morning & the afternoon. Thank you for your cooperation!

Student water bottles must be clear and only contain water. No other drink in the classrooms will be permitted. Water is sold at the front office for 50¢ . Students may bring their drink of choice (soda, Gatorade, juice, tea) in their lunchbox only.

***High School Girls Basketball Parent Meeting Reminder*** Just a reminder that there will be a parent meeting for those who wish to try out for the High School Girls Basketball Program Tonight, at 6:00PM in the High School Game Gym.

***High School Volleyball Parent Meeting*** On Thursday, August 1st there will be a Parent Meeting for all of the girls who wish to tryout for the Volleyball team who will be in High School for the 2024-2025 School Year. The meeting will start at 5:30 PM in the High School Gym. If your child wishes to tryout, you should attend the meeting. There will be a separate meeting for Middle School parents at a later date. *** Summer Strength and Conditioning Information *** This Summer, both Boys and Girls will be doing Strength and Conditioning at the same time. We will start on June 3rd and will go every Monday through Thursday starting at 7:00AM and going through 8:30 AM. Each Head Coach will communicate their Sports Specific Training Schedules to the athletes. We will be using a Summer Specific SportsYou to communicate with everyone. All Boys and Girls who are going into 7th-12th Grades should join this group. A weekly schedule will be sent out every Sunday afternoon and any changes or updates will be sent out as soon as possible.
