Beginning on the morning of April 30, the City of Stanton will be completing maintenance on the water lines between Carol St. and Beckman St. on Broadway. Broadway will be closed down for up to one week in this area. Please be prepared to reroute both your morning and afternoon to account for this road closure. Please follow the arrows for afternoon pick up for our PK-2nd grade students.

In the event you missed Pre-K or Kindergarten registration last night, we will have additional days in early August. We will also soon be registering (online) any currently enrolled students. We will also need all students to complete their proof of residency in August. Please hold off on that at this time. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. Thank you to those who were able to come and register yesterday, but don't fret if not, we will get back with you soon.

Tomorrow is Donuts with Grownups. Enter through the back doors, 7:00-7:55 am. We kindly ask our families limit to 2 guests per student. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf4idnvPMfd4xLBH7Asag07emmpUiG297t7o0F3EvbLugSt0w/viewform

Today, we will be sending home report cards, parent portal information and individual spring pictures. Also, for 3rd-5th Grade parents, we are still having our lunch and learn today to give you an opportunity to write a note of encouragement to your child for STAAR testing days. We hope to see all 3rd - 5th Grade parents at 11:30 this morning.

Today, your child received a pair of glasses to watch the eclipse with on Monday, when we do not have school. These are curtesy of KBST Radio, Hotel Settles, Gregg Street Sonic, and Martin County Hospital. We have included some links here with information. Stanton is not in the path of a total eclipse, but will be in the path of a partial. Be safe and only look at the eclipse if you are wearing special glasses.

We are just under two weeks from taking our first STAAR test. Wednesday, April 10th from 11:30 - 12:00, we will have an informational session about the tests and give you an opportunity to write a note of encouragement to be placed on your child's desk before they test each day. Our students love getting these notes and knowing you are thinking of them through their test. Please plan to attend this quick meeting and bring your lunch!

Wednesday is a regular school day for Stanton Elementary. We will have regular dismissal at 3:50.

I know we are a few days early with our April 1 newsletter, but it is jam packed with information and so we wanted to go ahead and get it out. Also, a friendly reminder that all students dismiss at 1:00 tomorrow (unless have Wednesday school) and then we do not have school on Friday and Monday.

Cameron and Jacob Nichols participated in the annual Bus Rodeo held in Lamesa on Saturday! They did great! We are so proud!

We are having a tornado drill today to ensure that our students/staff know what to do in the event of an actual emergency. The office will be closed during the drill.

Per the school calendar, tomorrow, March 22, 2024 is a student holiday. Today is a regular dismissal time - 3:50 p.m.

Please complete this form only if you need to update an email or add an email to your child's information.
