What is Stanton ISD doing to help?

SISD is following local and national health official expertise to prevent the spread of communicable diseases
SISD is working with community partners to closely monitor trends and make decisions to protect our students, staff and community
SISD continues to follow CDC recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting- frequently touched hard surfaces are disinfected daily
Staff members model and teach good hand washing, cough and cold hygiene, and general prevention measures recommended by health officials
Students or staff that show COVID-19 symptoms are isolated in a sick room until picked up by a parent or the staff member leaves the campus
Stanton ISD cleans areas that are used by the student or staff that tests positive for COVID-19
Stanton ISD continues to update our COVID-19 Dashboard on the Stanton ISD Website
The school notifies the Texas Department of Health Services when an individual who has been in a school is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19
Students who report feeling feverish are given an immediate temperature check
What can parents do to help?
Parents must ensure they do not send a child to school on campus if the child has COVID-19 symptoms or is lab-confirmed with COVID-19
Notify School Nurse when your student is diagnosed with any communicable illness
Encourage and model frequent handwashing, good cough and cold hygiene, and wipe down hard surfaces in your home
