What is Stanton ISD doing to help?

  • Parent communication

  • SISD is following local and national health official expertise to prevent the spread of communicable diseases

  • SISD is working with community partners to closely monitor trends and make decisions to protect our students, staff and community

  • SISD continues to follow CDC recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting- frequently touched hard surfaces are disinfected daily 

  • Staff members model and teach good hand washing, cough and cold hygiene, and general prevention measures recommended by health officials

  • Students or staff that show COVID-19 symptoms are isolated in a sick room until picked up by a parent or the staff member leaves the campus

  • Stanton ISD cleans areas that are used by the student or staff that tests positive for COVID-19

  • Stanton ISD continues to update our COVID-19 Dashboard on the Stanton ISD Website

  • The school notifies the Texas Department of Health Services when an individual who has been in a school is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19

  •  Students who report feeling feverish are given an immediate temperature check

 What can parents do to help?

  • Parents must ensure they do not send a child to school on campus if the child has COVID-19 symptoms or is lab-confirmed with COVID-19

  • Notify School Nurse when your student is diagnosed with any communicable illness

  • Encourage and model frequent handwashing, good cough and cold hygiene, and wipe down hard surfaces in your home
