Estimados padres: al comenzar el nuevo año escolar, esperamos que sus hijos hayan tenido un excelente inicio. Para dar tiempo a la distribución de las tarjetas al principio del año, habíamos suspendido temporalmente el requisito de que los estudiantes presentarán una tarjeta de identificación para subir al autobús.
A partir del lunes 24 de agosto, retomaremos nuestras normas habituales: todos los estudiantes deberán llevar una tarjeta de identificación válida para subir al autobús escolar, tanto en las rutas de la mañana como en las de la tarde.
Por favor, revisen esta información importante durante esta transición:
Transporte Matutino: Los conductores aplicarán estrictamente el requisito de la tarjeta. Si su hijo no lleva su tarjeta por la mañana, no se le permitirá subir al autobús y usted será responsable de llevarlo a la escuela.
Transporte Vespertino: Si un estudiante no lleva su tarjeta por la tarde, se le imprimirá una tarjeta gratuita.
Cada estudiante recibe hasta 3 tarjetas gratuitas por año escolar. Si el estudiante ya ha utilizado sus tarjetas gratuitas, el padre o tutor deberá recogerlo en la escuela.
Tarjetas de Reemplazo: Una vez que el estudiante haya utilizado sus 3 tarjetas gratuitas, cualquier tarjeta de reemplazo adicional deberá comprarse en la oficina administrativa de la escuela por un costo de $10.
Les pedimos que dediquen un momento este fin de semana a ayudar a su hijo a colocar la tarjeta de identificación de manera segura en su mochila, para que esté listo para el transporte el lunes por la mañana.

Parents, as we settle into the new school year, we hope your students are off to a great start. To allow time for distribution at the beginning of the year, we temporarily waived the requirement for students to have a bus tag to get on the bus.
Beginning Monday, August 24th, we will return to our standard operations: all students must have a valid bus tag to board the school bus for both morning and afternoon routes.
Please review this key information as we make this transition:
Morning Transportation: Drivers will strictly enforce tag requirements. If your student does not have their bus tag in the morning, they will not be permitted to ride, and you will be responsible for transporting them to school.
Afternoon Transportation: If a student does not have their bus tag in the afternoon they will be printed a free tag.
Each student is provided up to 3 free bus tags per school year. If the student has used their free tags a parent must pick up the student from the school.
Replacement tags: Once a student has used their 3 free bus tags, any additional replacement tags must be purchased at the school front office for $10.
Please take a moment this weekend to help your child attach their bus tag securely to their backpack so they are ready for pickup on Monday morning.
We appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions or still need to receive your student's tag, please reach out to your school office or the Transportation Department.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
The safety of our students is our highest priority. In order to ensure the well-being of every child, Stanton ISD requires that all students wear a seatbelt at all times while riding in a school vehicle. Wearing a seatbelt is not only a state law, but also a critical safety measure that protects your child in the event of an accident or sudden stop.
Failure to wear a seatbelt while on a school vehicle will result in a disciplinary write-up, as safety rules must be followed at all times.

On behalf of Stanton ISD we want to extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by yesterday's tragic loss. We also would like to thank our first responders and the staff at Martin County Hospital for all that they do to keep our community safe, our prayers are with you all as well. There will be a special time of prayer and remembrance tomorrow, Friday, July 3rd, at 7pm, at the 1788 Plaza (the convent). Please bring a lawn chair or a blanket and join our community in surrounding these precious families with love, support and prayer.
