Congratulations to the Best Band Herd! On Saturday, many of them competed at the UIL Region Solo and Ensemble Contest. 14 students qualified for the State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin. State qualifiers are: Emery Jones, Jenna Baker, Maily Juarez, Paige Gernentz (clarinet quartet), Christian Cazares (trombone solo), Juli Lopez (keyboard solo) Ryleigh Ramirez (multi percussion solo), Genesis Carrasco, Christian Cazares, Thayne Gernentz, Cooper Gernentz, Adalyn Gonzalez, Elliot Reid, Jonathan Sirois, Aiden Stone (brass ensemble). Congratulations to all of the students who competed and good luck at State in May!
Special announcement for Stanton ISD. No school Monday February 3, 2025. We are cancelling classes to allow our maintenance and custodial team to perform a deep clean during our sick season. Classes will resume Tuesday Feb 4, 2025. The JR High will still play their basketball games as scheduled for Monday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Today several members of the Best Band Herd who qualified for the All-Region Band put on 3 amazing concerts with the best high school musicians in west Texas! They were phenomenal! Great job to Thayne Gernentz, Christian Cazares, Emery Jones, Cooper Gernentz and Aiden Stone!
